My little man is starting preschool this year. He is a very sweet and cautious toddler so naturally, I was worried about his first day. It was decided that we would start him out in the summer camp program offered by his preschool to really prepare him. I wanted to ensure we were all ready for this big step and I made sure he had everything he would need for success.
Lunch is part of his school day and a lunchbox was needed. I had only heard the best things about the YumBox LeakProof Bento.
It did not disappoint. One of my favorite things to do with Cruz is prep his lunch together. He loves to choose what he will eat the next day and I love the activity and together time. His lunchbox needs to be kept cold so I pop the bento in this insulated lunchbox with an icepack.
For summer camp, I had to prep a snack. I felt guilty using disposable baggies and I have fallen in love with the Stasher Reusable 2pc Silicone Snack & Sandwich Bag Set. Dishwasher safe is my jam. I also feel like I am doing my part for the environment.
A HUGE help with preschool belongings were custom labels. Many friends recommended their favorites (Label Daddy, Name Bubbles…). These have been so useful in making sure my son has all of his belongings. Everything that was required for Cruz’s day needed to be labeled. I have been surprised that the labels really last through washing and wear and tear. Why haven’t I been using these sooner?
Are there things that you purchased for preschool that I am missing? Do you have any tips for a first time preschooler (and parent)?
XOXO,
Heather
